| First Market
The first market to see, the speed updates I bet will be Des Moines since that's their largest market for speeds: 5/384 Intro 12/768 Standard 16/1 VIP 26/2 Max (To say to the Iowa phone companies you can't compete with us at these speeds) 50/5 Ultra (D3) Is what I would like to see as, others have stated in the past. I hope they are planning the network for peak performance to avoid the slowdowns experienced by some users on the current max plan. |

But I doubt des moines will get it first, because it is their largest market.
They will probably start with the smaller markets first as the rollout will be easier, mush like they did with the phone service. -- I'm tired of killing stupid people just trying to do my job and go home! |

Do my speed's sound reasonable? that Mediacom might choose those for new service levels? I'm not a network techie, just a general computer techie. |

@ Rob - Thanks for the heads up I also heard that Navarre doesn't have liquor licenses I'll be sure to let you know what my experience with the DVR is. I opted for the 20/2 service and it looks like my bill is going to be cheaper than with Cox. I'll have less HD channels, but that comes with Starz Pak and Encore.
@ IowaStudent - I'm not a network guy either, but your numbers look pretty reasonable. Here's to hoping on finding out first hand! |

1 edit | reply to Bob61571 It's great they're expanding in Illinois, but you might not of heard about the 40 or so employees who are losing their Mediacom jobs in Hendersonville, NC!
Hopefully the new company, Morris Broadband will hire most of those employees!
No hard feelings Mediacom... thanks for a great job! |
