Exactly how I believe it behaves. Now I realize I didn't ask my question in the most clear manor, so I will expand on your example.
Suppose you click off the pattern match box in the Whitelist. That same call will go to voicemail, same as if the number is not in the list at all. What point does it make to have to explicitly click the pattern match box? |

3 edits | Well after giving this some thought I can't think of any reason why you would create a whitelist entry and not want it to override the pattern match rules.
Now I didn't check pattern match on my 2 whitelist entries. They are to simple get past DnD. Have nothing in pattern match that would effect them anyway.
What kills me is I put an entry in to block "Gallop Poll" and wouldn't you know those bastards called my later that day anonymously.
Its like they know what I did.
Ha they just tried again. That time CallerId name blocked them. Sweet.
Also I turned on annon authentication. If it wasn't for my sister I could just block them all. |

| reply to VTJosh Has the custom notification been dropped? A VM was left yesterday and both the SMS and eMail notification seems to have dropped back to a standard format. I checked my account and the custom format is still defined.
Sending the default message as Your VoiceMail Service is a bit presumptuous... Is that VT, CallCentric, at&t, Gizmo, or heaven forbid the office? That's why I did a custom format to identify where the message came from. |

| reply to unknvoip Does anyone have custom notifications set and getting them? I've gone in and resubmitted mine and still getting a default format.
Submitted ticket. Let's see how long that takes... |

| I have verified that I have Custom notifications set up and working properly. I have one format going to my work Email and another being sent to my phone as an SMS message. The two formats are different and both work properly.
Keep us posted, RogerD , and let us know how your ticket is handled. |

| reply to unknvoip ... I don't know what was changed, but now calls don't make it to VM.
Call rings and then goes quiet... Shows as answered in the call log but no VM greeting, no VM message, and no VM notification. We've gone backwards. Ooops. |

| reply to unknvoip Turned out I had SimRing set to an old OnStar account and it appears that account is set to answer calls and all you get is dead air. Called OnStar and they don't care...
Changed the numbers in SimRing and all is well. It would have been nice if the call log showed which number the call went too. Save some frustration and a few support contacts. Would that qualify for cost-benefit justification? |
