Two words. "Patriot Act". We all fell for it, we all let them get away with it, and as a result ISP's are now required to log all activity, and give the NSA access whenever they want to, all in the name of "protecting freedom", while the real terrorists have been using heavy encryption for years.
Since when does the Patriot Act apply to France. I suppose they must have passed their own version, eh.
