djdanska : I have not overclocked in a long time and want to overclock my desktop a bit to get more performance and to boost Boinc. I know how to get to the bios and make changes but i don't want to fry my chip/board. Back when i overclocked, i had a website that had a list of motherboards and chips and had some recommendations that worked. I don't want to go crazy, but just get a little boost.

This is what i have: (Included pics for specs)
Athlon Phenom X4 9550 (AM2+)
Samsung DDR2-6400
Asus M3N78 Pro Motherboard.
650 Watt Power supply.
(and not sure if you need it, but i also have a hdtv/analog tuner card, 2 hard drives, and a dvd burner.)

Any advice would help. thanks for putting up with a newbie!
--
The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult.
