Faster speeds?

Since I can barely get 3Mbps most days from their 6Mbps service, I just can't get excited about this announcement.

It will just mean even more speed they can't provide me!!!

(feel free to see the Knology forum with plenty of my speed results posted!)

well, i can't same i'm not surprised... i still get a lot of lag in north columbus. their slow at upgrading the cmts. i'm not suprised about them being slow to go to docsis 3.0.

i hope columbus is 1 of the first to upgraded as it is the city nearest to it's HQ in west point.

a part from the lightreading article.

quote:
If Knology decides to launch Docsis 3.0 services based strictly on competitive factors, a likely first target is Pinellas County, Fla., a market served by Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) FiOS and Bright House Networks .

Other early candidates for Knology include Augusta, Columbus, and West Point, Ga.; and Knoxville, Tenn., where Knology is matched up with Comcast Corp. (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK), an MSO that expects to have Docsis 3.0 deployed in all systems by the end of 2010. (See 40%... & Counting.)

i think knology is ready to go in columbus, after 1 or 2 more cmts upgrades in some area's.

@knology.net

Isn't Columbus where Knology's call center is?
