Knology... pfft.

When I first moved in, I found Knology was the provider for my neighborhood. They had a good deal or so I thought. After only 3 months, 300ms pings, constant billing issues, and relatively slow service, I found Mediacom also services my neighborhood. It's about the same price for cable/inet/phone, and I end up with 25Mbps/1Mbps on a good day instead of ~6.5Mbps/384Kbps on a good day.

On the other side of the city is Charter and Comcast. One town away, they're laying municipal FTTH for the local Coop, and are likely announcing they will be offering fiber service by the end of the year. AT&T has uVerse, but not up my streeet.

Why do I bring all this up? Just to point out that Knology is a good bit behind for this area.

What part of Madison are you in? Any houses for sale on your street?
