I bet they are waiting for the charter mess to blow over and see how many more customers they get from it. A big chunk around me is charter/fios. And a big chuck of people have fios internet but not tv as tv was not offered in the beginning.
I dont even think Verizon's footprint is that big in California. Only market they have is what they took over from the GTE merger years ago. Which was a lot of small chunks here and there.
