Correction Should Be Noted

So this piece cites the Orange County Register blog regarding the stoppage of FiOS in Orange County, but then goes on to cite a notice on the City of Walnut's home page, which is in Los Angeles County. One has zip to do with the other as L.A. and Orange are two vastly different counties that are run significantly different from each other.

Secondly, the City of Brea is in N. Orange County and is closer to L.A. The piece on the Register's blog about FiOS in Brea may as well be talking about the service in Rochester, NY. LMAO.

For whatever it's worth, Verizon/GTE serves a very, very small portion of the city of Brea.

The boundaries are basically north and west of the intersection of Central and Puente to the La Habra city limits.

That neighborhood is assigned to the Verizon central office in La Habra on N. Idaho St., with La Habra prefixes and an area code of 562.

The rest of Brea is served by Pacific Bell Telephone Company, dba AT&T California from their central office on Orange Ave., near Imperial Hwy. and Brea Blvd.

For now, no Fios in the Verizon served section of Brea, and limited U-Verse availabilty from AT&T in the Olinda Ranch development on the east side of Brea.
