So Clearwire is 6MBPS and has the licenses for NYC Correct?
They offer a number of different bandwidth options, but yes I believe 6Mbps is one of them. They supposedly have the NYC licenses, so sit tight and lets see what happens.

I don't think they can guarantee a bandwidth due to the nature of wireless. They currently market mobile WiMAX at 2-4Mbps "average" but in ideal conditions some get over 6Mbps.

Also depends on how much backhaul they provide to each site and number of users sharing the site.

Most current WiMAX devices are technically capable of 15-35Mbps, but only in a lab. LTE is claiming these kinds speeds too, but they are lab results, not real world.
