Call Your Senator, Congressperson and the FCC and complain and in writing if needed via snail mail(Hey the USPS needs You), I think Your land lord may be wrong, A lot of people here put dishes up, The land lord doesn't care as long as their done by a professional installer. |

| Yes, renters may have satellite dishes, with restrictions. FCC has spent years working on this.

| reply to SuperJoker You can put up a dish as long as you have exclusive control over the property. So if you have a private balcony or patio, then you can.
However, the OTARD ruling Bob61571 linked to does not grant permission for you to modify any existing structure, so you wouldn't have automatic permission to screw/bolt/drill into a building.
There is also a requirement that the dish must be grounded, and current NEC doesn't allow you to tie to a cold water pipe anymore, so if they wanted to be sticklers, they can still prohibit it via a code violation. |

I already have a Satellite Dish for My TV and have had Dish since 2004 here in the park since then(Dish Network) on My mobile home(they ain't quite that mobile and beware Fleetwoods are cheaply made too, After 3 total moves all mobile homes may need some structural work inside), Others here have either cable(TWC) or Dish or Direc TV or even more rarely they use a translator UHF antenna. |
