No meter from Comcast, can I exceed the cap?

so do we still gotta worry about the 250g cap or can i just go over it on purpose. since Comcast has failed to provide us with a legit real-time bandwidth tracker.

You'll never get a "real-time" bandwidth tracker. You may get one that's a few hours behind.

As in most things in life, do the right thing.

If you have some usage scenario that's going to consistently take you well over 250 GB, then switch to another service or adjust your plans. Comcast is currently hoodwinking its business service as unlimited, so that's another option. DSL can deliver a lot more GB/mo. Or, perhaps your transfer needs can be tamed.
