[ADSL] Fed up of my recent BT ping

Click for full size
This mainly applies to gaming, and finding out people who live 10 minutes away from me on average have 10-50ms lower ping than me whilst gaming.

I'm currently with BT Broadband whilst my pal is with Talk Talk, the latter use BT Broadband lines.

Am I wrong in thinking there's a bunch of requests here that shouldn't even be made before it reaches Edinburgh?

I live south of Glasgow, it also baffles me why my packets must go up before they go down.

Probably because BT servers are router though PHORM filtering servers to see exactly what you are doing.

You are paying BT to spy on your surfing habits!!!

Move to BE*

Is moving to BE what most people recommend doing? Will it lower my latency times?

Also another question, is interleaving bad for gaming? If I move to BE, is it recommended to turn it off? I think BT have it on right now.
