| reply to mrchris You guys are all idiots. First of all we all know this isnt a first rate five star cruise. Nor are we selling it at such a high price. Its a low end somewhat reasonable cruise that benefits broke ass people in the U.S. Its a nice change just to get to go to the bahamas if you have never took a vacation. Where not asking you rich talking yuppies to comment on how amazing or crappy this cruise may be. I work for caribbean cruise lines and it may not be the best job in the world but it pays my bills. Bottom line i took this same promotions cruise 5 years ago before i ever worked for the company and it was great. We offer a cheap cruise to people on a "cheap" budget. if you are not intrested then quit clicking on links Via internet for FREE CRUISES! | reply to mrchris This is a scam...this indeed sounds too good to be true...but I wanted to check why I received this mail....So when I called they ask me to pay $118 dollars immd with my Visa to save my reservation. When i said ill call back, the person on line transferred me to a guy who called himself sales manager. He spoke as if I am the luckiest person on earth to receive the mail and $118 should not be a big deal for me to pay. I tried to speak politely but he was too loud I hung up and trashed the mail. |

Well at least you have managed to justify the ethics of your employer in your mind. I guess that is important in order to scam victims on a daily basis. The problem is, you are not selling a cheap cruise. If that is all that it was the attorney generals of multiple states would not have sued you, and the state of Florida would not have consumer alerts posted on its website to alert consumers to this scam practice.
Never ever give your credit card number to these people over the phone.
If a company is not prepared to mail you a prospectus for the offer and allow you to review it before making a commitment, then it is a scam.

The details are what end up biting you (along with the bed bugs and lice) as you are being force fed a huge misrepresentation of what you are supposedly getting in exchange for your time and for your vacation dollar. When you sit for 6 hours during a time share sales corral, or when you can't sleep from running all night to the bathroom from Monte's Revenge because the ice is made from the local untreated water then used in your drinks so you will think back and wonder "Why, God Why?" did you not go on a non-timeshare sales cruise. | reply to mrchris Just read all of the remarks, and now have mixed feelings about the Caribbean CL "deal." My conclusion is that this still may be a real scam, or just a cheap deal for a bottom-middle line vacation. I just got the same packet and paid my $600 + "port taxes etc" to be paid later. I came here really wanting information. It seems that the (-) folks didn't really buy, and offer first hand reports of fraud and cheat, just their "feeling" of a scam. The (+) folks were just put down for non related issues, such as their spelling, grammar, or that they hold an opposing view. If the folks offering a positive view are ringers are doing it (and on compant time) to confuse the issue, they deserve the insults. If I do go, I will certainly report back and let you all know the real story. I have never met a time-share sales person I would invite home for dinner, however at least they are not out there robbing banks, and breaking into your homes either. If I call American Express to cancel the order, I'll update too. |

 Tripadvisor review page |
I debated back and forth about this CCL place. I don't like to take advice from people who haven't "been there/done that" and yet when I read the glowing reports about anything "free," I want to investigate further. After actually throwing our coupon in the trash (it's the same as an earlier post of pictures) I chose to go to www.caribbeancl.com to see whether one can actually buy tickets or pkgs. Couldn't find that, or any BBB or other safe/reputable rating. Carmen Elektra's hot but she was vague on this grand time. So I opted to look at my own reputable place, »www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review···ida.html for *anything* linked with Caribbean Cruise Lines. Amazing what you can find when searching, and it began bearing out by the reviews of a Ramada Maingate West hotel, also linked by reviewers who have stayed there via timeshare package, some with CCL.
The hotel rating is 60% "Do Not Recommend", with 289 ppl replying. Clicking on couples and the negative rating goes to Again, there are references to Caribbean Cruise Line package as the reason they stayed. The buffet (free meals) had barely any food, and there were deposit fees, other fees, and safe fees. Some say that the place is used to house time share participants. By the time you read all the reviews, both good or bad, ask what your intuition tells you. The more I try to find something that says it's legit, the more disappointed I am.
No one who has taken part in the vacation have returned with any pictures/documentation to show how things were for them. So for me, not taking part in it means that I won't know one way or the other - fine for me cos I'm not fiending for a good time, I've always gotten what I paid for, and when the price is cheap the product has been, too.
And I don't think Carmen Elektra will ever be there, dancing with anyone on that cruise ship. For your own sakes, I simply suggest you get things in writing and reject the "offer ends soon" sales pitch. |
