anon posted : Funny you all would mention it....I had a voice mail with a slick come-on from Caribbean Cruise Line (which you can't find with Google.) I called and was given a great ad by the salesman, who seemed very anxious to get my card # to pay port fees. I told him we don't do anything impetiously and that we would need at least e-mail information on their cruise, the accomodations, etc. He advised me that if we didn't want to register and pay right now, we would lose our opportunity for this wonderful deal. I declined and we mutually hung up. Since then, we have received numerous hang-ups on voice mail and even when we answer. I called two nights ago and told them not to call again. Tonight I got a hang up. I called back and talked to Jason, who said they would put me on a do not call list, which I was told two nights ago. He then hung up on me. I called back and Jason answered. I told him not to hang up, that I had a few things to say. He hung up again. I called back and got Gary, who sounded just like Jason. He said he'd put us on the do not call list (again?) and started to say goodbye. Our phone is caller ID blocked, so I asked him what number he was entering in for do not call. He said "just a minute" and then said, "Okay, what is your number?"
I said, "Ah Mike, you didn't really mean to do it at all, did you? He started to become beligerent, and I asked if he wanted our number. He said (in rather surly manner) yes and I gave it to him. Yet again, I was hung up on. Five minutes later we got another hang up from them, so I called again and got a woman who said her name was Adrian. I told her they are not to call and that I have been repeatedly harrassed by their calls. Again surly, again a hang up. If I get another call, I'm calling them every 5 minutes every day I'm home and they will only think they have a corner on harrassment!

anon posted : I got the Caribbean Cruise Line offer over the phone... I am pretty sure I did not fill out any online survey etc which would have made me eligible for this "gift"... I think I used service magic and they sold my info to these folks... Thanks to this forum I knew what I was being offered and after reading the pros and cons I decided not to go ahead with this.. After all I have never been to a cruise and don't want to spoil my experience on a very old cruise ship where I might have to endure timeshare presentations...

Also, the people over the phone were so aggressive in pushing the gift on me that I got suspicious...
anon posted : I wrote down everything I thought I understood to be offered and read it back where it was confirmed to be correct. "Yes, there were no additional charges than the $118 port charges for 2 .Yes, because we booked the extended package, we had 24 months, not the regular 18. " Well, none of that was true. When I received my confirmation materials 5.5 months later, the costs increased over 100% and we had 18 months to use it. Of course, the dates we wanted were not available. 7 times my calls were disconnected so to date I don't have the " free" cruise booked. BEWARE!

anon posted : I received this mailer a few days ago and read it over thought it sound great and decided to call to see what it was about. I polite gentleman gave me much detail of the trips perks and luxuries and full itinerary of colorful events, however when i bottom lined him about pricing it was a difficult subject to speak of, all of a sudden a bossy ass manager jumped on the line assuring me that price wasn't a factor and demanding that i give him my card number to make one time payment of 798 for me and my guest, i had the money but being not so quick to give it up i made the comment " what if im broke right now and i dont get paid till next week can i call back then" the pushy manager claimed well we can just take 199 today to seal the deal and i can make arrangements on the rest. I then asked well how can i make arrangements when you told me at the beginning of the call that i could only make one call per household and could not be called back. He then got mad i guess cause he felt caught up and said well we need to at least try something and i expressed NO i dont have funds but if holding my reservation is the issue then i can just give him any card to hold, he aggressively said dont play games with him by giving him a card with no money, after he said that i knew it was scam company out for money based upon his attitude and actions so i hung up on his ass quick, i can smell a scam a mile away, only shortly after like less than 5min i decided to research this cruise line and found all these complaints, i am so glad i did not fall for the hype and i feel bad for the people especially the older people who were tricked into this trip, but its ok they will get theirs back for being scam artist sales people

anon posted : After reading almost all the 48 pages of posts on this forum topic, I noticed that many people use the word SCAM like as if Caribbean Cruise Line is a con-artist operation... there are impressions that this company is fake and they are trying to steal our money and leave us empty handed. We need to explore the given evidence and judge the reality of this situation.

Here's what it boils down to:

1) This cruise vacation package to the Bahamas and wherever else secondary destinations CCL is providing you (such as Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Las Vegas, Puerto Vallarta) truly does exist. It's not some make-believe story.
'»Setting The Record Straight'
Above is a link to a post on this website, written by a real person who went on this cruise (written on September 6th, 2010). She describes her entire trip and gives us her opinion on whether the cruise vacation package is worth it. She also has pictures from the trip via facebook.

2) So is this cruise vacation package really free? Will it cost $0.00? The answer is definitely NO. Simply put, this is a marketing strategy... it is meant to be appealing but can be very misleading. Nothing is this world is free.
For example: wireless phone providers say they'll give you a free cell phone. But it's not really free because you have to sign up for a 2-year plan, pay up front and mail in the rebate... wait 6-8 weeks blah blah blah.

3) Is this offer worth it even if you are willing to pay the money? Probably not, you're better off not dealing with Caribbean Cruise Line. I suggest reading the link post above.

REFUNDS If you already paid Caribbean Cruise Line for this cruise and you want a refund, you might have a good chance to get your money back if it's within 7 days of your initial purchase. I just paid them yesterday for this cruise, and found the problems on this forum today. I'm going to see if I can get my refund. I'll keep you guys posted. If I forget to post and you're interested in the results, send me an email at project_atq@yahoo.com. My name is Andrew.

Below is the "terms and conditions" info I got from their website at '»www.4funvacation.com' (access is only available to customers who have already purchased the cruise package and have login information):

PURCHASER'S RIGHT TO CANCEL

You may cancel this transaction without any cancellation fee or other penalty, or stated reason for doing so, by sending notice of cancellation by certified mail, return receipt requested to Caribbean Cruise Line, PO Box 70038, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33307.

The notice must be postmarked by midnight of the seventh calender day following the day on which this contract is signed by you or the day any membership card and all membership materials are received by you, whichever is latter. The day on which the contract was signed is not included as a ‘calender day’ and if the seventh calender day falls on a Sunday or legal holiday, then the right to cancel this contract expires on the day immediately following that Sunday or legal holiday.

TO CANCEL THIS CONTRACT, SEND A COPY OF THIS NOTICE OF CANCELLATION OR OTHER WRITTEN NOTICE OF CANCELLATION TO:

Caribbean Cruise Line

PO Box 70038

Fort Lauderdale, FL 33307

I HEREBY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT.

___________________________________________________________________________

Date Purchaser's Signature

___________________________________________________________________________

Printed Name Purchaser's Address

Yesterday, her dad died. I called to get the money I spent on the vacation back since we probably won't be going on vacation any time soon now and the money we spent with CCL could go towards travel arrangements for the funeral and everything. I called and told them the reason was personal and none of what they had to tell me mattered. I just wanted my money back.
They kept pushing for a reason why I booked it and why I'm canceling. So, I finally told them about the death... and they still refused. I was told they don't give refunds. Ever.
