| No, No, No! When Verizon divested their landline networks in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont last year, the result was a largely dysfunctional company named Fairpoint Communications that struggled under the load and has very serious problems.
One could theoretically replace the above named dysfunctional company as "Frontier Communications".
Frontier is good at marginalising communications in the Rural market. They are stingy in their upgrades, and are overpriced due to the lock they have on their markets. Well, that is until a FIOS type company comes along and hits them in their wallets. -- The weekend is here, grab a can of beer! |

| And you don't call stingy? LMAO! VZ does the same thing. But like i said, at least someone wants the networks and is willing to manage them and take them over and expand DSL and other services.
You have no clue what Fairpoint or Fontier has in store for their customers. They could kick DSL out the door and start offering wireless to their customers. After all they could/can obtain USDA grants for rural areas to help expand into the wireless business for phone, internet and TV. and it would be smart to get rid of the copper and go wireless. |

Well, that is until a FIOS type company comes along and hits them in their wallets. Unfortunately for Frontier, Charter Communications has been playing hardball with Verizon.. and has been taking customers from them for the last 6 years. (For regular phone service; they also offer noticibly faster internet service- Verizon could not compete effectively with Charter (WI) with the current network infustructure. [At least not without considerable upgrades. ie.. Considerable fiber deployment] |

 | In My next house I could get along very good with Charter cable(for all but TV, I have Dish for that), I have good memories of Charter. |

I will forgive you your IGNORANCE when it comes to Frontier as a company. You have no clue how backwards this company is. I do. I had them as my provider for 10 years. How sad it is when one achieves LMAO prematurely! -- The weekend is here, grab a can of beer! |
