Re: Rogers Internet and Asus WL-520GU Router issues

This is going to sound like an idiot question, but... what's different in the WAN side setups of the Linksys and Asus? There is either some subtle difference or the Asus is broken.

I can connect to the router from my pc, but trying to get the router to connect to the modem is a different story, It detects that there is a Wan connection there but when I do the auto detect or the static ip connection it's saying it's not setup right. Talking about the DHCP not configured or something

Maybe I misunderstood the problem you are having. Is it:
a) You can't get the computer to connect to the router;
b) You can connect the computer to the router, but it can't connect to the modem; or
c) You can connect the computer to both the router and the modem, but the modem can't connect to Rogers?

Motorola SB5100 and I had a Linksys Router hooked up before this and to post I hook it up again.

What modem do you have?

Did you have a router installed before tying this one?

No matter what I try I can't seem to get my router to connect to the modem no matter what I try.

I've used their auto setup but it seems it can't detect my dchp connection.

I know pretty vague but I'm baffled and frustrated atm lol
