Re: replace screen on vostro 1500

If you don't mind, can you give me your opinions on these?

I don't see anything mentioning the maker of the panels. I also take it that I don't need to purchase a new inverter even if I do change resolutions. (I'd like WXGA+, but I'm not dropping 300 bucks on it. WSXGA+ and higher seems like an eyestrain waiting to happen for me.)

Thanks!

In terms of the 8400M GS? Should not be a problem at all. This GPU has been used with notebooks with screens with greater resolutions than that.

The question is not will it connect to the GPU, but rather that the screen be compatible with a Vostro 1500.

I have a vostro 1500 with a glossy monitor..and I hate the monitor. The current panel is wxga, so 1280x800. I'd like to get a glossy monitor as well as get a tad more screen real estate. If I buy a matte LCD panel that is wxga+, will I have any issues with the connectors/current video card (8400M GS?
