kudos:12 | [Mobo] P35 vs P45? Hello Gents,
Currently, my HTPC has an Intel DG45ID (G45 chipset) motherboard in it and my desktop has an Intel DP35DP (P35 chipset).
It struck me tonight, that I could probably eek better performance out of my Q9300 desktop if I swapped the two motherboards. I'd be replacing my P35/ICH9R chipset with a G45/ICH10 chipset.
What do you folks think? Is it worth the trouble? |

I tend to agree. My P35 Gigabyte system was a pillar of stability. In fact I'd go back and forth between it and the P43 or P45 platforms for testing, and would come back to the P35. Am I running it now? No... it's happily running at a friend's house. |
