Re: Any new Speed tiers?

Don't think about it this Saturday is close -____-.

@verizon.com
There will only be my minor changes to some of the tiers this coming weekend and those changes are to new customers only. Speed changes have been pushed out to August for the remaining embedded base.

Info sounds suspect... check this thread:
»forums.verizon.com/vrzn/board/me···id=11314

Even the Verizon Fiber Solutions Center Tech is recommending the customer to call after the 20th for the speed upgrade.

I should of noted that if you upgrade from the lesser tiers you will see it also. In other words going from 5/2 or 10/2 to a 15/5, 20/5 or 20/20. Otherwise you will not see a bump. And the date is 6/21 not 6/20

So are you saying users on 20/20 plan wont see a speed upgrade?

Heh, it is minor but Verizon knows that Cablevision has that $300(?) installation fee tacked onto that 101Mbps package of theirs. But who knows, we'll have to wait and see.

So, those of us who already have FiOS (the majority in this forum I would think) will not see higher speeds until at least August unless we choose to upgrade from a lower to a higher tier? I can live with that...although that's NOT exactly what's been rumored around here for quite some time.

Steely-

There's way too many different stories going around at the moment.

We'll try and hunt down some clarification.

I just got FIOS less than a month ago. I assume since I can cancel without a ETF that I could get the upgrade bump included for no charge? I guess I can always take it to the retention dept and see what happens.

vzguy1 - will bundle prices or for that matter prices in general increase with the soon to be speed tiers?

It will probably be 10/2 to 15/5, 20/5 to 25/10, 20/20 to 25/25, and 50/20 to 75/25

What about what vzguy1 said about "for new customers only"? Are the rest of us going to have to wait until August like he said?

Thanks for the info on the lower tier (10/2).
