The speeds youre getting on Giganews are about the same as through Shaw's own newsgroups. Since school has taken most of the last year from me, I was never really concerned at my download speeds, if the internet was working, I was happy.I have been testing it for the past couple days and consistently achieve a 7mb down/1 mb up and my giga downloads are always pegged at 400k (392 almost to be exact)

I remember downloading at 10mb on speakeasy almost a year ago..my giga speeds have always been consistent.I'm in Surrey, could possibly be on a busy node.I would like to hear what other ppl around the lower mainland are getting from there Extreme connection..esp Giganews.

BTW, I'm not using SSL on my giga downloads.
