ErikRP : So long as you have the proper Shaw newsgroup name entered (default is news.shawcable.net), there really isn't much more that Shaw could help with in setting up your particular client.

Basic information can be found here: »www.shaw.ca/en-ca/CustomerCare/I···wsgroups but again, it's not Grabit specific. Best to go to the Filesharing forum if you are having trouble configuring it.

AnonShawUser : Make sure you're subscribed to a group. Then pick the content you want to download from the group. It -should- be that easy, since there's no advanced configuration required once the server is in the program.

anon : I was just browsing some of the Shaw forums and have been surprised at the speeds some Shaw Extreme members have been achieving.

Since school has taken most of the last year from me, I was never really concerned at my download speeds, if the internet was working, I was happy.I have been testing it for the past couple days and consistently achieve a 7mb down/1 mb up and my giga downloads are always pegged at 400k (392 almost to be exact)

I remember downloading at 10mb on speakeasy almost a year ago..my giga speeds have always been consistent.I'm in Surrey, could possibly be on a busy node.I would like to hear what other ppl around the lower mainland are getting from there Extreme connection..esp Giganews.

BTW, I'm not using SSL on my giga downloads.

Thanks.
