Westel 327W and Wireless setup??

We just got the Centurytel DSL and they sent us a Westel 327W modem/router.The numbers on it are model=D90-327W14-06 REV F MADE IN CHINA. But then there is a sticker on it that says A99-327w14-03 REV R?? But hwat Ireally want to know is how to get the wireless to work!! I tried to go to the 192.168.1.1 and do it from there. Set a network name-what channel etc. but the wireless light don't come on. And there is no wireless network showing on any of our laptops. I HATE to call them since I usually get someone I can't understand or has no idea what I'm asking! And now I can't even get into the 192 address!! Just a blank page!!??

Re: Westel 327W and Wireless setup??

Does it work with a wired connection?

If that works, and assuming a recent Windows version, use:
ipconfig /all
at a command prompt. Look for the gateway IP address. That's the IP to use for connecting to the modem interface.

If that does not help, try the recessed reset button on the modem. Press it for 15 seconds or so to reset the modem to factory defaults. Then try the setup once again.

I did the reset and that worked to get the westel page back up but I still can't get the wireless to work?THe network program that came withthe 327W shows it as working and broadcasting but not as how I set it up. Show it as Centurytel wireless as the SSID and Wpa2 or whatever as the security. But what I put in as the SSID-AINSWORTH and the security disabled ( we live in the middle of nowhere-no one for about a mile from our house) don't show and there isn't even a centurytell wireless tht my laptops can pick up? Should I just call them anyway? The wireless light isn't even on!
