ak3883 join:2005-08-20 Portsmouth, RI | Comcast officially has a deal for ESPNU and ESPN360! This deserves a new thread. No mention of ESPNUHD, hopefully it is included as well.

 | I'm sure ESPNU HD will be included in a region-by-region basis based on priority and capacity (I'd start with SEC and Big East markets). any word if ESPNU goes on the sports package? |

1 edit | reply to ak3883 what about espn news hd? Any news if there will be a preview and when this will be available? what about abc news now or is that a channel available only if the local abc carries it? |

 | reply to mikedz4 ABC News Now is one of the ABC OTA multicast stations, based on the local ABC affiliate. ESPNEWS HD should be a lower priority compared to channels that broadcast live events or entertainment programming. |

| reply to ak3883 i'm just saying that usually if i need fries and a burger I usually pay a little extra for the meal rather than pay for them seperately. I figured since they were at the table they would discuss espn news hd as well as espn360 and espnu/hd. Maybe they did because comcast hasn't released an official statement describing the deal yet. |

ak3883 join:2005-08-20 Portsmouth, RI | reply to mikedz4 Comcast already has a deal for ESPNEWSHD. Right now it seems to only be in markets like Boston,Chicago,Seattle that have dumped most of the analog channels and thus have the room for 70,80+ HD channels. I think some 870mhz systems down around Harrisburg got ESPNEWSHD as well.
But Comcast does have a deal, it's just not that widely availible yet. |

 | reply to ak3883 how can i tell what mhz my plant is. The fcc data was last updated in 1999. Since then they have upgraded to offer high speed internet in 2000 then again in 2006 to launch digital voice. |

 | reply to ak3883 Great now Gomcast has a new way to raise internet rates and blame it on sports programming.
This ESPN360 deal will really change the HSI model. Shame on Comcast for caving on this.
I see a time when you cannot buy A la carte internet anymore. Soon every provider will want to get internet providers to pay for content every time a contract needs to be reached or renewed. HBO, the networks everyone will want a piece of the action.
I bet the newspapers will soon look to get providers to pony up to make up for their loss in revenues. |

 | reply to Caddyroger Can we log into ESPN360 already? If so how? |
