SonicWALL TEL3 question

daveinpoway : With firmware 6.5.0.4, in the General>Status page, it tells me that:
"You are protected from the following attacks: Syn flood, Ping of death, IP Spoofing, Land attack, Smurf amplification, sequence number prediction"
Looking through the other setup pages, I don't see how to change these default protections.

The reason that I want to make changes is that with the TEL3 connected to my DSL modem, on a speed test, the download test works fine, but the upload test stalls out after a few seconds. I have tried every setting I can find, and none of them will change this behavior; so, I suspect it is one of the default protections. If I replace the TEL3 with a SofaWare S-Box 100 (set to the highest security level), the speed test works perfectly (in both directions), so the issue is obviously with the TEL3.

Are there some options I have overlooked?
