Palm took failed Newton and made it into a true functioning tool - the Pilot. The Pre very well may take the successful iPhone gadgety approach and turn into a much broader 'tool'. History may repeat itself. Well, the difference now is the Newton was a failure and the iPhone is not. The iPhone has set the bar very high, so we'll see. I hope the Pre does well though, the iPhone needs a legit competitor. |
