Disconnections and Static on phone line

Hey guys,

I seem to be getting a lot of disconnections with Velcom's DSL and it's really getting to be annoying at this point. When I get the disconnections, my line sync light flashes and my phone has a lot of static on the line. I have called them and they usually send over a Bell technician who fixes the problem and it works fine for a day or two and then it happens again. One came over recently and said that it was because of a defective modem. I decided to try a couple of other modems that I borrowed from my friends and I still have the problem! I also don't believe what the technician said is correct because my neighbour recently told me that he as well gets static on his phone line and he called a Bell technician 3-4 times, and they fix it temporarily, and then a couple of days later, it happens again, which is the exact same thing they've been doing it me. They tell me every time they come, that they replaced a cable but I mean how can the cable mess up so many times. I'm really getting fed up and if this continues I will have to leave Velcom unfortunately. I was wondering if anyone has had this experience and if so, how did they solve it?

Thanks in advance.
