Wow !!! Looked at the Detroit list 58 new hd channels and 5 reserved for future use, thats more hd than we have on our whole system.Hurry hurry Comcast please and get all of us up to these standards. What a very good looking lineup, something for everyone. Did they add these all at once or over two or three additions ???If they were all at once you would have to pull an all nighter to get a peak at how clear they all are and if they are all working.

They haven't started yet...I guess the process starts in June.
I got a letter a couple of weeks ago saying June, and they will be notifying us soon on further details.

Some areas (mostly Downriver) didn't have any HD added to them. Where you have channels added...ours says "RESERVED FOR FUTURE HD". Wonder why they did parts of Detroit area, but not all??

No, I mean the DTA. Not the transition itself, but the box that allows it to happen.

Sorry, but its the same answer...The DTA's will start to be given in June...Unless I just haven't been contacted yet.
So I guess it will be a couple of months B4 the actual transition and we get those HD's. Which is cool, I'm just glad it's coming.
Detroit switched to digital a few months back and I believe they already get, or will by May 27 get the new HD's.
(In case you don't know, Roseville is a 'burb of Detroit)

I think the trade off is docsis 3.0 will not happen till early 2010
But if I had a choice, I'd pick TV HD's over Internet....cause I know D3 will come eventually.

We have gotten DTAs in the suburbs of Philadelphia back in January-ish, and still no mention of a totally new revamped lineup like this, and they have not gotten aggresive with analog channel repos yet.

I hope once the DTV transition is behind us(Comcast is having to add some must-carry channels for that) they will start giving dates when they will cut the analog channels.

What's nice is all the HD channels in one block. Not like my a-hole system.

Detroit City was converted, Roseville, Madison Heights, and Hazel Park are next on the list. I have a tentative schedule; but I can tell you just about everything will be converted by March 2010 around Metro Detroit (except some of the old 500MHz systems)

Rendrenner,

What have you heard about Muskegon going digital? I am in Muskegon and haven't heard anything. We are way behind most areas with only 14 HD channels. Any news/updates would be appreciated.

Rendrenner,

Great. Thanks for the information! Do you know, if that will include expanding our HD lineup? (The lineup sheet on the Comcast/Michigan site doesn't list any changes.)

Good to see Michigan finally Orlando,Olathe/MO got to be next. 266 is MLB HD,184 is Lifetime HD here Olathe/MO on Comcast.

How can you still have Travel and Lesiure On Demand Channel? I hope my Comcast adds it back and fixes Comcast Central because 925 Local Acess and Comcast Central Channels aren't working.

I meant 226 for MLB Network HD and Local Access.
