Re: Field Day!! Late night on SSB isn't really that bad. It is a little less chaotic than during the day (especially if you are used to contesting with people who know how to operate a radio  ). The rates are a little lower, and typically the operations that are still running at night time are a bit more skilled than some of the others.
The two most essential things you need to do the overnight is a thermos of coffee, and someone to take over for you when you have drank too much of the coffee.
