Qwest is in the $5,500 range (not the magic $110/M though)
I am sure you will hear from others with better pricing but at least it gives you a number
Cheers and a happy 4th to all |

| reply to PAETECT1 Yes, however not at that price.
FYI for everyone else, please give quotes on the Washington St address. Anything lower than $110 per Mbit would be appreciated (TWC fiber is $110 or so per Mbit at that location at the commit being looked at).
Unless there is a major change in the way things are working, the circuit would need to be a bit higher-priority than the "let's see what happens" quote I requested earlier. |

| reply to iansltx Hello, I recieved the pricing back for your second location.
Try this address: 415 S Washington St Fredericksburg, TX 78624
Price per month for full 45MB is $6867.39. $500 install...
Is this something they are looking at to install with in the next three months. Please advise

| reply to PAETECT1 Check your PM box. I sent you a different address to check, one that will need bandwidth pretty soon and is exploring options actively. If anything competitive can be found, it'll be nice not being single-homed to TWC fiber...a few miles over at »pvco.net the guy is having a crappy time with them. |

| reply to iansltx Not to put a damper on all this but iansltx did state:
Problem now is that there's nearly two years left on the Qwest DS3 contract...wonder if there's any way to get around that if the port is still Qwest...
Going to be some time at a guess before there can be a move
That being said - nice pricing from Paetec |

| reply to iansltx Good afternoon, I recieved the pricing back for your DS3. I wanted to check with our engineers to ensure we can drop the circuit to you. The great thing is . If we use my Loop & Port I am $3859.91 for a full 45MB with SLA's. That does not include the router. Let me know how we look. Thank you |

| reply to PAETECT1 Unfortunately, the port is Qwest, not the loop. The loop is effectively a combo of AT&T and Windstream (yep, two loops). Also, this side of things probably won't go anywhere...I'll probably be back on here later with a quote request for something, but it won't necessarily be the Kerrville location. |

| reply to iansltx I'm on the agent side, he was most likely a direct rep. I can get you better pricing. I also found out that we could use your current Qwest loop if needed, So you would just have to pay the port charge. I can get you one year pricing but three year will be more aggressive. also I will see about getting the instalation waived as well. Would this be o.k. Please advise |

| reply to Mizzat Prior to LNP it was more reliable. Even now each landline CO has it's native NPA-NXX that identifies it. It's also called the LSO. For an example 515-243 is DESMIADT near me. If I am getting a quote for any address served from that physical wire center no matter what their real telephone number is I can provide 515-243 and it will be quoted correctly. That doesn't help at all for distance sensitive products like Ethernet over Copper or DSL but is fine for DS1 and DS3. |

| reply to bandwidthkiw said by bandwidthkiw :True regarding the CLEC etc bit however most carrier pricing tools work just fine on NPA NXX so you can put whatever you want at the end ie 5555 Not always, some blocks are splity, 0000-3999 could be one carrier, 4000-9999 could be anther, such a real phone number is preferred. -- -M |

| reply to ineedatech said by ineedatech :That way they can sell sell sell to you. That is not correct. Land line phone numbers are used to determine local central office which is necessary to develop local loop pricing. That's why we can't use cell phone numbers and VOIP numbers and CLEC numbers because they don't track to the local central office. It's a "garbage in garbage out" kind of thing. |

| reply to iansltx The 'general' rule for Qwest contracts is that if you recontract for 110% of the previous one (10% more $$) you can roll over the liability. That is generallly similar for QC (local dialtone) and QCC (PRI, Internet, etc). That does limit you to Qwest bandwidth though. It might be easier to talk to whomever sold you the bandwidth in the first place. |
