Re: [hard drive] Laptop Sata Hard Drive Adapter Yeah, like tursiops said - that's just an adapter on the SATA drive to make it fit the laptop. It's a standard SATA drive. Which is sweet, because you can just throw it into your desktop as a 2nd drive if it has SATA ports on it. Standard power / data connectors, unlike the IDE laptop drives.
You just need to remove the adapter by pulling evenly / gently away from the drive. Double check the edges first, sometimes HP screws them down. |
