A sad day for us all

Today, Saturday May 23, at 1:48am the world lost a great man
This team lost a valued member.
All of our members lost a good friend.
And I lost my father.

He was known to most here as "Old Grouch", and others knew him as Mike. My father will surely be missed by all.

Dad passed peacefully in the hospital with his wife, all three of his sons and many other family members with him.

I want to thank everyone here for all the support and prayers given for Dad in the past couple of years while he was fighting cancer. I know this forum and the members here meant a lot to him.

Thank You
Jay

So terribly sad to feel the emptyness.

I will always remember the many of your posts that made us laugh.

You will be sorely missed.

He meant a lot to us too Jay. Your Dad was funny, kind and certainly dedicated to this group. I think his strong attitude through his battle inspired a lot of people here.. I know it did me.

My prayers are with you and your family.

Having lost someone just as close to me as your dad is to you, I feel your grief. Although I didn't know Old Grouch very well, I knew him to be a very compassionate and interesting man.

My sincere condolences. Try to keep in mind what my grandmother told me just before she died and clearly saw how I was feeling about her impending death:
Life continues.
