I have the exact same router as you guys. I'm using the stock firmware and the latest IPS sig. I'm disappointed by the lack of updates.

Last night I checked Cisco site, and there is no new IPS or Router firmware, since V1.40 IPS, or V1.2.11 Firmware

All those references to the v1.23 'firmware' on the internet is not firmware at all. It's v1.23 of the IPS signatures.

I have no idea. Just thought that could be where someone got the number.

fwiw: I tried to download the 1.23 firmware, and couldn't actually get a link that worked or didn't lead you around in a circular fashion. Get the firmware from the linksys-cisco site, however, there is a old post that says the a 1.09 version is bad and a 1.11 version is corrected but that the 1.09 has not been removed from the linksys site.

At the Cisco website, V1.2.11 is the only firmware listed....
However, if you do a Google search on RVS4000 firmware, there are multiple references to V1.23 firmware...

??????

Is this third party, and if so, from whom? or a SCAM?
