Re: Loosing connection

I had this same problem with my Belkin and it turned out that my cable modem went bad. I was using one of the cheap DATATEL, I think,) cable modems and that was the problem. I originally thought it was my router as I was using the Trendnet 432BRP that I bought on the clearance rack from Fry's. So I went back and bought the Belkin N+ and experienced the same issues. Also, once it starts it gets worse eventually. By the time I called Cox TechSupport and had them check my cable modem remotely, they said it was resetting every 2 mins, and had reset over 100 times in the last hour. I know this is long winded but I would call your ISP and have the check to see if your cable modem is resetting.

@netcabo.pt

  Hi there.

I own a belkin wireless g router f5d7230-4 (version 7003ef) and i am having a little problem here...

From time to time, and without any change on the lights from the router (everything stays normal) i loose connection to the internet... i can still access the other computers on the network but not access the internet.

I have 2 XP desktops connected wired, and normally 1 or 2 vista laptops connected using wireless.

Don't think its a modem problem cause when i use direct modem connection i have no problems at all (modem is a Thompson thg540).

To solve it its required to restart the router and it happens like 5+ times a day which is kinda a pain.

Any know solution / suggestion?
Tnx in advance
