How to set a bridged 2701HG-B with Linksys WRT160Nv.1 ???

Can someone provide me detailed instruction how to set a bridged modem 2Wire 2701HG-B with a wireless router LINKSYS WRT160Nv.1, please.
I need as many details as possible because I never did it before. I'm new in this field.
So, I need to know how to open both devices and detailed info how to set all function and values for the 2701 just as a bridged modem and for the WRT160Nv.1 as a device with full control.
This is for the AT&T Southeast/Bellsouth DSL Direct Extreme 6.0.
Thank you for your help and expertise. Any advise will be greatly appreciate in advance.

OK Thanks wayjac, but how about Linksys WRT160N setup ?
Do I have to reset it and do nothing to it ?

Once you bridge the two wire you'll need to configure the linksys for a PPPoE connection and there is not a lot to doing that.

OK wayjac, so I have to set PPPoE as a protocol on the 160N and nothing more, no other value to insert or change.
Am I right.
Instead of automatic DHCP I have to set a protocol to PPPoE. Am I correct ?
If not instruct me how to do it, please.
Thanks in advance.

That sounds right, the linksys user guide has detailed instructions and there is the linksys cd that has a setup "wizard" utility

OK wayjac, do you want me to use a factory CD ? I didn't get any detailed setup instruction from Linksys.
