[Help] Unable to install a Wireless G USB Network Adapter : F5d7

Hi.

I have difficulties to install a Belkin F5D7051 Wireless Network Adapter.

I have first try to install it on a Windows XP SP3 x86 fresh formated system. The USB port is functional, I have been able to install a mouse succesfully. I have downloaded the "Windows 2000, Windows XP 32 bits v4.01.20.2 driver"..

..and proceed to the installation. I have connected the adapter at the end, a new device called "802.11b/g LP/SC UsbeLess Adapter" has been detected but no driver was found during the driver installation procedure (I press Next, Next, Next with default options). I have then try to point manually to a driver file found in the c:\Program Files\Belkin\ folder with no luck. I have then try to force the installation with this same file and it was refused.

Then I thought that this could be caused by a computer incompatibility with Windows XP, as it is an old IBM ThinkPad 390E 2626-E0U (333MHz). I formated and installed Windows 2000 SP4 and tryed again with the exact same results.

The adapter was working fine before the first format (it has been formatted due to virus). I'm out of solution, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: [Help] Unable to install a Wireless G USB Network Adapter :

Belkin driver is not working properly, many other users have this problem with F5D7050 & F5D7051. You better not to lose your installation CD.
