Re: Trying to portforward but can't connect to my modem

OK, I think I figured it out. I found another tutorial which said to use DMZ Hosting for the 360 only. I manually assigned the 360 an IP and used this same IP for the DMZ Hosting. This seems to be working.

The first IP I used (default IP) was 192.168.0.1, the second IP I used which allowed me to access the modem is 192.168.1.1.

The Gateway IP is not necessarily the one for the GUI.

I repeat, what IP address did you use? (I'm not going to go mucking about in portforward.com to see what it says.)

If it is, it shows that your "Owner" Folder is misnamed in human error.

I was trying to connect to the default IP given by portforward.com. I found the gateway IP in my network and this worked.

I'm trying to port forward to my Xbox 360, the problem now is that the Xbox is not showing up in the LAN Device drop down box which shows the computers on my network. There should be four devices total, two computers, a phone line (Vonage) and the 360. It is showing six devices, four are names (two of those our pc's) and these two: YOUR-780C524461 and DD1S7Q31. I don't know what the other two names are.

What IP address are you trying to connect to?

I'm trying to port forward using a tutorial at portforward.com. This is for an Actiontec GT704WG DSL modem. I'm supposed to connect to my modem using my browser but, it keeps timing out and won't connect. I can't find anything on how to solve this. I've tried this in Firefox and IE. My ISP is Verizon.
