If the Trendnet unit is that similar, try duplicating my configuration and the steps I took and see what happens.
In a nutshell:
1) Set router to 192.168.1.1 2) Shut down everything. Power down PC's, router, NIM100, switches, Xbox/Wii stuff, and everything else you have with a network connection. Disconnect power cord from all STB's. 3) Power up router and one PC. 4) Log into router. 5) Plug in each STB one at a time. Check the router, when you see it connected, assign it a static IP. Start with 192.168.1.100. Repeat with each STB and use next IP addresss in succession. 5a) OPTIONAL: Do the same with all of your other equipment. I have IP's specified for everything. I have most non-STB equipment is at 192.168.1.2 through 192.168.1.11, except for my network printer at 192.168.1.50 and wireless AP at 192.168.1.51 just so I can remember the addresses. 6) After they are all assigned, shut EVERYTHING down again. 7) Power up your router. 8) Power up all of your other equipment. 9) Log into the router and make sure everything is on the IP's you assigned. -- So put me on a highway, and show me a sign. And take it to the limit one more time... |
