So I'll look around for the first 1000 or so cars with NY plates and ask them to load up some heat and take it home to you.
Thanks!

All I can say is that some of your fellow New Yorkers must have drug all your heat down this way. It's pushing 100 each day right now in NE Florida. I know it's supposed to be warm here, but not that warm, especially this early. So I'll look around for the first 1000 or so cars with NY plates and ask them to load up some heat and take it home to you.

Our electric bill shows the avg degree day temp, plus the historical record from a year ago. This year, 62F. Last year 70F.

Another thing about this spring: has anyone noticed that it's been raining nearly EVERY day since the beginning of May?
It's raining again right now. The 7 day forecast is all rain and has been for weeks. Some of the downpours have been heavy enough to break small branches off trees. We lost power on Thursay due to an unusually heavy downpour.

It has been quite cool--just last week we had over night lows in the 40s. Very unusual for June, where normally 64F is the low.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but here we are (again!) with the temp struggling to break the 60 degree mark in NYC. This is total insanity, people havent even put away their coats for the season. In fact, looking out my office window most people have some sort of a coat on now.

Here in Michigan, we had a fall day yesterday, with low clouds and something a bit more than drizzle off and on. It has been a cool start to Spring and I am hoping that this Summer will not be like last year. All this water and not much swimming weather last year. I don't want to complain too much, because I love the freshness of Canadian air in June with temps in the low 80s and low humidity. It is great to be out there golfing with a hot sun and refreshing cool breeze blowing.

The warm up is coming your way by the middle of next week and then you will wish it was still nice and cool out. The only area not expected to warm up is the Upper Lakes area and Northern New England. I should say yet.

In the mean time, enjoy the rain.....

I'm with McS, and I will send you some our Houston hot! Yikes! It's only June and the highs are getting over 90 and into the mid-90's. I don't want another hurricane here, as this area is still trying to get things fixed up after evil Ike hit here last year.
I will take it, you can even send a hurricane this way if it means warmer weather!

We have been below normal here the entire spring for the most part, running 5-10 degrees below normal (82). Nice with the windows open and the A/c off, as long as the sun is out and not cloudy.
We have been between 10 and 20 degrees below normal for what seems like weeks now. No sun either, boo!!

Well, maybe we need to ship you some of our weather. We've been running high 90's for days and got a forecast of 102 for tomorrow. Except for scattered T-storms, we won't have a good rain until October, unless a TD or hurricane comes our way.
Please do! I just came back from Austin where the temps are much like what you described, and I LOVED it. I consider anything below about 70 to be cold, especially in mid June.

I would like to point out that its mid June and we are still struggling to break the 60 degree mark here in New York City. We had a bunch of days last week in the 50's again. Did I mention its also rained non-stop for like a week and a half?? I have heard rumors that we are setting up for another "year without a summer", and I really hope thats not the case!

Hot and Steamy here in Southern Louisiana. Just how I like it! I will be looking forward to my trip in a few weeks in New York. Sounds like I may have to bring a jacket.

When I worked as a process worker and court researcher, I often had to go down to the desert in the summer time. Palm Springs would be 115 which was bad enough but then I would get to Indio and it would be 121.

Then there was Joshua Tree Court...On the same day it was 125 degrees. Joshua Tree is on highway 62 which connects with highway 40 and heads out into the Northern desert.

The hottest here in Cucamonga I have ever seen was 117 in 1962 and they didn't have AC in the schools.

Well currently it is 59 here in southern California, with heavy overcast...We are enjoying it because in about two weeks it will turn 100, we think. In the northeast and southern Canada it is supposed to be a cool but humid summer, all thanks to a now ending La Nina.

The La Nina is also another reason that the Hurricane season might not be to bad this year. There is still a large pool of cold water down along the African coast blocking any moisture moving offshore.

The Caribbean is the only area slightly active right now.
I must say that I dont really mind mid 80's and low 90's, even with the humidity. I actually like warm weather, in fact I will be heading out to Palm Springs for July 4th weekend where it runs around 115 (or more) during the day. I will concede that PS in July/August is the hottest place I have ever been, and it is a little tough to be outside for very long.

Its almost June, and I am having some serious beef with the weather. This past weekend it was warm two of the days, and cold the other. Then, both Monday and today we are stuck in the 50's here in NYC. I also recall we had flurries about two weeks ago, AFTER a 4 day run of days in the mid 90's.

Clearly Spring is a transition period, but seriously this is getting annoying! Give me my 70's at least, I can handle any more gray 50 degree days.......
