How many people were executed officially by the various (non-Catholic) states over the centuries? Hundreds of millions. Rome wasn't Catholic when they fed Christians to the lions. Attila wasn't Catholic when he stacked the heads of the citizens of various cities at the city gates when he conquered them. A certain Buddhist daimyo annihilated his Shinto opponents on the way to establishing Buddhism as a religion in Japan.

Why are you singling out the Catholics, in particular, or Christians, in general?
