Re: [RANT] COLD!

It was 48F in the middle of the day yesterday in Danbury, I had to put some heat on. Today it's a warm 61F (as I type this).

You are correct, it is almost June and we have March or very early April temps. Connecticut is too cool this year.

You bet!

What we need is a warmer climate. If only our great technology could be used to make the world a warmer place.

It was just fine Monday, perfect day for a pool party... the water was 75F thanks to my solar panels

Absolutely! Hopefully someday, that'll happen. I would not be a bit sad to see winter go away totally! Just have it happen up where people ski.

If I were mystical, I would say it's because my wife's parents arrived here at the beginning of May, from the sunny, hot Philippines. It's been chilly and rainy ever since they got here. I've not seen anything quite like it since 1977.

The grass is green, the sun is warm....when its not raining. One of the nicest spring seasons I can remember in 49 years in Connecticut. Im loving it!.....extra firewood for next year leftover........

As I type this it is 66F in Danbury. I guess it could be warmer elsewhere in Connecticut. For me this has been an unusually cold spring.

1 edit

It's probably the last [relatively, @ 45F] cold night of the year, and statistically it is a few weeks late.

[edited forecast low; the Great White Fathers in Taunton have it a bit too low; they still don't know the difference between Hartford and Worcester]

Not just cold but windy. I cannot remember May when the wind seemed to blow all day long. Today the tree here in Southbury whipped around constantly. 39 degrees and holding.....
