voiplover : You should become a member here so others can give you 1 on 1 support.

The first thing to do is to log into the westel DSL modem (if it is a model with only one ethernet port) and set it as a switch. That will eliminate any pppoe settings.
Then you will be able to connect your OOMA hub directly behind the modem and eliminate any router issues.

Good luck.

pandora : If I'm following google correctly it looks like you have DSL. If so, be careful not to plug your Ooma hub into the same phone jack that your phone company uses to provide you with DSL. Ooma uses HPNA, and it conflicts with DSL.

Without connecting your Ooma hub to any phone, assuming you double and triple checked the MAC address to activate the correct device ... do you see it switch to blue when plugged into your modem router? Make certain to connect the ethernet jack labeled "modem" on the Ooma hub to your router.

DSL / HPNA conflicts tend to be a problem for new Ooma users. Another common error is activating an incorrect MAC address. After you have investigated these two, write back and let us know your status.
--
"People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use."
