Be Broadband stole £50 from my credit card

Be Broadband stole £50 from my credit card, claiming that I had not returned my modem after end of contract. In reality I did return it, and luckily kept my proof of posting.

After a battle lasting several weeks, my credit card company has supported my chargeback claim and forced Be to refund the £50.

What is wrong here is that Be began by stealing the £50, assuming my "guilt", and then asked for proof of posting so they could graciously reverse their theft. I choose to initiate a chargeback through my CC company to highlight the theft. Be have ignored all my e-mails - customer service from hell. I am still waiting for confirmation from Be of the address of their registered office, so that I can launch a complaint through the relevant trading standards office. I may yet take up the matter with the police, as this is a fraud.

Avoid Be Broadband - thieves.
