So how about sharing information on the toys being installed tonight on this maintenance run? Anything we can get excited about? |

@teksavvy.com | If it were me I would have a donut making machine installed first. I remember seeing one in a hi-tech trade show and it was more interesting than the rest of the stuff. |

| Well if they are going o do a donut making machine, they should just get someone to open a Tim Hortons in the building. This way maybe Marc and Gabe would be more productive. Not saying that they arn't already.. but shorter walk to get coffee means more time working on the network. |

| I've been watching Globalive, and I hope they live up to what they are making themselves out to be. I am hoping that they will be the ones that come and bring competition to Canada. Hopes are all up in the air until they can get their network foundation in and working. We will see when they put out product plans and prices though. |

The joke wasn't funny after the first thousand times it was told. |

1 edit | reply to Big Nose said by Big Nose :Could we please get through a SINGLE thread regarding Teksavvy without mentioning Tim Hortons? Please? Well, I could put up with the repetitive jokes, as long as Tim Hortons signed up as a Corporate Sponsor for TSI's forum.
Maybe kicked in $$ to cover the costs of the new dedicated mlppp setup. hint, hint, tax writeoff for sponsors.
Otherwise, yeah, these jokes are getting stale a bit. |

I'll give Rogers the benefit of the doubt here because RIM's servers have far more outages than Rogers and that's saying a lot. That's why I don't very much like RIM's method for push which relies on their infrastructure.
It's very unlikely it is Rogers unless their data network is down. |

@rim.net | reply to youssef I have seen RIM hit 4 9s reliability, and hear they are on course for 5. Can't be that bad. I have more issues with rogers 3g/EDGE network and delays.
i am going to have to get some of the java joke. Cup is empty. |

  mlerner Premium join:2000-11-25 Nepean, ON | But it's the odd outage that tends to have the most effect. I recall two in the past few years that completely wiped out service for almost all of North America. Meanwhile I have not had an actual data outage in over a year. |

@rim.net
| This past year, Verizon took out all their North American traffic, commercial and residential, (even Voip) with a failed change resulting in full BGP convergence on a non-core device, killing the device and causing outages for 30min.
even big guys can make a mistake. either way outages suck. |
