Make sure your upload speed limiter is set no higher than 220KiloBytes/sec (80% of your upload). Any higher and you can hurt your download speed. TCP acknowledges that the packet got there, so it requires a little return bandwidth, because of this anything higher than 80% of your upload and the upstream gets saturated and the TCP acknowledgment can't get through, so the stream of packets stops until it does. I personally would give yourself a little more headroom and set it to 215 KiloBytes/sec and you should be fine. Try that and let us know. -- Duct tape is like The Force it has a light side and a dark side, and it binds the Universe together

I know that Comcast DID deploy sandvine to drop most bit torrent traffic entering and leaving their network. I understand they also lied to customers about it and got into a bunch of legal issues.
Are you saying they stopped this? Or am I completely wrong? I decided against using them and stopped paying attention.
I switched from copper dsl, to uverse dsl and hate the static ip offerings.. I would switch to comcast in a second if I was certain they dont throttle or block Bit-Torrent.
On a side note: A friend of mine downloaded an episode of House that she forgot to DVR and got a cease and desist letter from comcast about it. It was legit, I saw it.
I find that silly, since she HAS cable TV AND a DVR.. and pays for both of them, yet she got spanked for downloading a TV episode.. I don't consider that stealing, like downloading software or Music would be.

Edit: you might want to make sure that your torrent program is set to allow more then 750... nvm you start at 1.2mb was worth a shot

Software Version: SB5100-2.3.7.0-GA-00-NOSH Hardware Version: 3 MIB Version: II GUI Version: 1.0 VxWorks Version: 5.4
The config file is displayed among my error log entries:
2009-05-26 13:00:03 6-Notice E102.0 SW Download INIT - Via Config file d11_m_sb5100_speedtierextreme2_c01.cm
The above is the Blast 16/2 file.
Try clicking on the *Configuration* tab, then the *Reset all defaults* button, then the *Restart Cable Modem* button.
After doing this, it may take a bit longer than normal for the modem to fully re-sync, but this is what I have to do to get the config file displayed there.
