All you can do is call support and tell them what is happening. They will have to call Verizon to test/repair the line.
Now if you are hearing noise on your Telephone Line when it rains, that will cause DSL problems and you can call Verizon about noise on your Phone Line during rain, but if you mention that it is affecting your Earthlink DSL also then they will try to pass you off to Earthlink (basically ignoring that is affects your conversations if that is the case). You would only mention that the line noise is affecting your conversations when it rains if that is in fact what is happening and Verizon would have to fix that. Otherwise, Verizon will refer you back to Earthlink. -- Whats the point of owning a supercar if you cant scare yourself stupid from time to time? |

1 edit | reply to RatKnight I'm sorry but if Earthlink is your ISP, you will need to deal with Earthlink about your connection problems.
I'll move this over to our Earthlink Forum to see if you can get some help with the members there.

| Ok, this is a bit complicated...
My ISP is Earthlink, BUT, Verizon is the vendor. They provide my connection. So, I contacted Earthlink support and told them that my connection dropped every time it rains, they told me to set my DNS servers to some IP... they said it would make the signal stronger, and my connection faster.... Well, my connection lost .5 megs a second, and my ping jumped by 10, and my connection still dropped once it started raining.
Is there anyone I can contact about this? I really don't understand why it is doing this.
Thank you |
