Licensed PowerBoot

Since when did this become a licensed technology? Cisco has done this for what, almost 10 years now in the corporate world?

I think I will patenent the drive thru window and then license it. What kind of idiots do these cable companies hire to do PR?

Comcast developed this technology for their network and put a patent on it. Which gives them the right license it. Do they charge other cable companies? probably not.

I don't believe so. My understanding is that DOCSIS provides the ability to dynamically uncap/burst connections. I believe "PowerBoost" is Comcast's trademark name, hence the licensing.
