| I think the difference maker in this series is Dwight Howard. If he can play like he did against the Cavs they are the better team. If he's in foul trouble and missing free throws then the Lakers will probably take it.
Also the Lakers need Odom and Gasol to step up. Just like Lebron and the Cavs, Kobe can't beat a whole team of this caliber for a series. One or two games maybe. Also, of course, if the Magic continues to shoot the 3's so well it will open up Howard to score a lot easier.

| If Gasol, Bynum and Odom can keep pounding the ball inside and get Howard in foul trouble the Lakers will win this. The Cavs had no inside scoring except Lebron driving. Otherwise 4 quarters of Howard will be trouble and there will be plenty of open threes for the Magic. | |

Maybe making such a claim after two or three games but after one? How many times have consecutive games been completely different... Hedo and Rashard Lewis shot horrible last night, Dwight Howard only made one FG, the Magic were out rebounded by 14... do you think all that is going to happen every game?
I'm not saying Orlando is definitely going to win, but saying the series is going to be horrible based on Game 1 is ridiculous.

| Lakers played Howard perfectly. Use the three bigs to pound the ball inside and rebound. Don't give Howard the same look on defense every time. Expose Rashad Lewis on defense; he can't defend the 4 position inside causing help defense to lead to easy passes.
Game 2 will be closer of course, the Magic won't miss so many three balls, but if the Lakers hustle on the boards and maintain the rebound advantage they have this in 5. | |

| ^^^Yeah this won't be a horrible series for us LA fans. Orlando will adjust next game but so do the Lakers. Koe might not score another 40 points game but he will be there high 20's or low 30's.
If LA, can win Game 2 then thats one foot already on the Championship. | |

LA recovered and pressured the short shot but the shot banked off too hard and hit the front of the rim. As good a look that the shooter had, he should have made it. I believe it was Magic Courtney Lee that took the shot. Some reports say it was a layup, I say it was closer to a 4 footer, with Lee sliding through the air parallel through the lane, catching and shooting in one motion. Not an easy shot but one that a pro should make. I imagine there are plenty of youtubes with the replay.
