said by jlhugh :the magic should not even be on the same court with the lakers. that was proved last night. this will be a boring series. the magic have not come to play. Is this your first NBA playoff series?
Maybe making such a claim after two or three games but after one? How many times have consecutive games been completely different... Hedo and Rashard Lewis shot horrible last night, Dwight Howard only made one FG, the Magic were out rebounded by 14... do you think all that is going to happen every game?
I'm not saying Orlando is definitely going to win, but saying the series is going to be horrible based on Game 1 is ridiculous. -- Amateurs study tactics. Professionals study logistics. |

| reply to anwgo153 ^^^Yeah this won't be a horrible series for us LA fans. Orlando will adjust next game but so do the Lakers. Koe might not score another 40 points game but he will be there high 20's or low 30's.
If LA, can win Game 2 then thats one foot already on the Championship. |

| reply to sailor said by sailor :Why play 1 game and then wait so long until game 2? Seriously. Game 1 was on THU and then they skipped two days, game 2 on SUN.. Then skip one day, fly to ORL and have game three on TUE... It makes no sense.
I was going to go to LA for game 2 because I thought it'd be on SAT, but I didn't want to travel late tonight and be back at work tomorrow. |

| reply to Chillin said by Chillin :Lakers are spotty most times, they will dump a game or two at least. Orlando looked like crap, I doubt they will lay down for the rest of the games. I think they are the better team when they are on. But they were not on last night at all really. If they win one more game in a row (series goes to Orlando for the next game), they'll have one hand on the trophy |

2 edits | There was .6 on the clock. Orlando had a great inbounds with a good screen freeing a player for an alley oop and near layup. LA recovered and pressured the short shot but the shot banked off too hard and hit the front of the rim. As good a look that the shooter had, he should have made it. I believe it was Magic Courtney Lee that took the shot. Some reports say it was a layup, I say it was closer to a 4 footer, with Lee sliding through the air parallel through the lane, catching and shooting in one motion. Not an easy shot but one that a pro should make. I imagine there are plenty of youtubes with the replay. edit:sp -- Save water...drink beer! -- Democrats don't mind raising taxes because democrats don't pay taxes. |

| Game 2 was Orlando's to win. Lakers settled for the jump shot and got massively out-rebounded, didn't get Howard in foul trouble. Kobe didn't pass out to Ariza/Odom for the Lakers last shot in regulation and them missed a defensive assignment on Lee on the subsequent possession. Lee misses a layup to go into OT.
Lakers need to win one in Orlando and then they're home free. |
