I have no personal opinions about Arris modems, but, just as an innocent observer, are you sure that your signal levels were good when the modems were giving you trouble? Different modems can be more or less forgiving of marginal signal levels, so another modem might perhaps work when the Arris didn't, but the proper solution is to make the signal levels not marginal.
reply to sollord If they were major crap like you claim, neither company would be using them. Do you honestly think that WOW or Comcast is going to use a garbage modem, no matter how cheap they may or may not get them for?
