How do you love a earthlink LPV / voice + dsl account

I have a LPV account, so earthlink owns the phone number that im using, and my ILEC does not

I called earthlink installations, and they said i needed to open another account with my ILEC, and have them port the number again???? Is this right?

If you want your number back from EL, you have to follow their terms.
