Switching Over to TS -speed expectations in tecumseh/windsor

im looking to switch over to teksavvy because of the new policies that Cogeco has put in place. I was wondering what types of speed I should expect in the Tecumseh area if anyone is around this way.. if not windsor itself? I'm leaning towards the premium package as I do game a fair bit and could possibly benefit from the lower latency.

even people in the area, or next door can get one thing while you get another.

expect anything up to 5mbps.

Most of the connections I set up in Windsor are able to get the full 5Mbps. Only one account had to sync at 1.5Mbps. That unit and the one beside it were the only ones in the building that didn't qualify for 5Mbps.

are there any ways to see line quality prior to buying the service? I'd hate to get it and find out my line syncs @ like 2Mb or something..

Have you tried calling the office with some phone numbers from your area? Usually, if you have a few phone numbers for them to pre-qualify then they can give you an idea of what you can expect. As I said though, your neighbour may qualify for 5Mbps and you can only get 512Kbps, or vice-versa. Your best bet would be to call TSI or even just sign up for one month and give it a try.
